Authorities in Louisiana have recaptured five of the eight inmates who escaped from the Riverbend Detention Center in East Carroll Parish during the early hours of January 30, officials confirmed on Friday. A large-scale manhunt remains underway for the three remaining fugitives, all of whom are considered violent offenders.
According to the East Carroll Parish Sheriff’s Office, the inmates were found missing around 1:20 am, triggering an immediate response involving multiple law enforcement agencies.
