Louise Redknapp heartbroken as she tells fans her beloved pet dog has died

Louise Redknapp faced every pet owner's worst nightmare as she announced that her beloved dog had died.

The former Eternal singer shared the news about Bluebells late on Monday night, following the pet's death in the early hours of yesterday morning.

Louise, who had a separate Instagram account for her pup, shared a tribute on Instagram.

Sharing a string of sweet snaps alongside 'Blu', Louise spoke of her heartbreak.

The first image showed Louise sat on steps outside a London home, planting a kiss on her dog's head.

Others showed them together on holiday as well as in the comfort of their home.

"I am absolutely heartbroken that we had to say goodbye to our little girl Blu early this morning," the 47-year-old singer started her post.

"I am going to miss you so much my darling girl your escaping through the fence, chasing the squirrels out of the garden, our long walks in the woods watching you run carefree, going upstairs when we say ‘bed time’ and getting on mummy’s bed instead of in your own and most of all your kisses and cuddles every day.

"I wanted to share this with you because I know so many of you follow their insta page and loved seeing what Blu and Rudi were up to and loved them as much as we did."

She ended the post: "We’ll miss you so much, sleep tight our gorgeous Bluebells.

"Love you forever Mummy, Chaz and Beau Beau’s Xxx."

Former Hollyoaks actors and Louise's Strictly Come Dancing co-star Danny Mac was among the first to comment, writing: "All the love to you all pal. I’m so sorry."

"I'm so sorry Angel. Sending so much love," Martine McCutcheon said.

Hollyoaks and Loose Women star Kelle Bryan added: "Ahhhh darling so sorry to hear that."

Fans were also quick to flood Louise and her two sons with support.

@jamesbenthom said: "Always so hard to say goodbye. Sending love and comfort to you and yours."

"So sorry to read this, I know how integral a dog is within a family unit. Sleep tight sweet girl," @ ry_mac21 commented.

@ryanmkop added: "Oh God that is so sad. So sorry for you all. She was a gorgeous dog."
