Louise Minchin has received the backing of her former BBC Breakfast co-host Dan Walker over her switch to ITV to host a stalking documentary, after her own terrifying ordeal.
Louise quit BBC Breakfast in the autumn after nearly 20 years on the show, with Dan telling her and viewers that the programme 'would never be the same' without her and he wasn't sure how he'd cope.
In the immediate aftermath of her exit, Louise was hotly tipped to be on I'm A Celebrity and the rumours proved to be true as she did indeed join thew likes of David Ginola, Frankie Bridge and eventual winner Danny Miller in Wales.
And Louise is back on ITV on Thursday night to front The Truth About Stalking, a subject she knows all too well after her and her family were targeted by former soldier Carl Davies.

Davies was sentenced to two years and eight months after posting a series of threatening messages to Louise and her teenage daughter Mia’s social media accounts between July 14 and 17 2020, including one horrific post which read: "your daughter will definitely be raped," as well as detailing their home address.
Now Louise will look at the impact stalkers have on their victims, how dangerous it can be and what help is being offered to support victims.
Ahead of The Truth About Stalking make its debut, Louise took to Twitter to post: "Good morning, this is not a subject I like to talk about, but in the hope of raising awareness and help to victims of stalking I have made this documentary with @ITVTonight #ITVTonight it is on at 8.30pm."
Dan rushed to support Louise, quoting her tweet and adding: "I saw how big an impact this had on Louise and she has made a really brave film about it."
One of Dan's many followers wrote: "She is so brave to go public, it will make a difference, as people really listen to people they feel they can identify with, amazing."
A fan of Louise's added: "Thank you for your bravery @louiseminchin. Awareness is the best way to combat these crimes and help those suffering in silence."
