Louis Walsh has admitted he is not in the Ronan Keating "fan club".
On Saturday night, the former X-Factor judge appeared on screens as he joined Angela Scanlon for her RTE show Ask Me Anything. As Angela asked him what Irish names might be in the running to replace Daniel Craig as James Bond, Mayo native Louis suggested that Banshees of Inisherin star Colin Farrell would be a good choice for the role.
Sitting alongside Derry Girls star Dylan Llewellyn, Angela suggested if Boyzone's Ronan Keating might get called up to play Bond. Louis said in response: "Oh no, because he's not an actor really."

When Angela pointed out that Ronan Keating has previously done presenting duties before, Louis admitted that he's not in the Boyzone singer's fan club when pressed if he liked the Dublin singer. Louis said: "I’m not in the fan club. I look after Westlife, and they are doing great. They are selling out everywhere.”
The Irish pop band manager said that while Ronan isn't "good enough" to be James Bond that he was sure that the Dublin singer would toss his hat into the ring for the role. He said: "But you know what, there is nobody better, he will put himself forward. That’s one thing about him.”
The former X-Factor judge also claimed that "not everyone is nice" on tv, and that there are "too many boring people" on television these days. Speaking on the sofa alongside English tv personality Vanessa Feltz, Louis added: “It’s just my opinion. I don’t like everybody."
Louis also talked about Ireland's odds of winning this year's Eurovision, and the "curse" on an Irish win which has not happened since 1996. He said: "Anybody credible doesn't want to touch Eurovision because they're afraid of coming last."
