Louis Tomlinson recently spoke about Harry Styles' phenomenal success but admits that while he was initially bothered by it, he has nothing but love for his ex-bandmate.
The pair found fame in One Direction back in 2010 and went on to break records across the world as they became the first band from The X Factor to achieve such levels of success.
Fast forward six years and the four-piece band consisting of Louis, 30, Harry, 28, Niall Horan, 29 and Liam Payne, 29, the group announced an indefinite hiatus.
Since they went their separate ways, the lads have gone on to achieve their own success, with Louis preparing for the release of his second solo album Faith in the Future on November 11.
Meanwhile, Harry has released three records and appeared in three films – as well as performing a sold-out worldwide stadium tour.
Speaking in a new interview, Louis said: "I'd be lying if I said it [Harry's success] didn't bother me at first, only 'cos I didn't know where to place myself, and really my only point of reference was other members of the band.
"But it's not surprising to me that Harry's the most commercially successful because he really fits the mould of a modern star, he's not just doing music, he's got film as well, and the [stadium] tour he's done is unbelievable.
"It took me a while to work out where I stand but I look on Harry like a brother, man. I have a lot of pride for what he's doing."
But while Louis may be proud of his "brother", the Out of My System hitmaker revealed he's not entirely impressed by the fanfiction made about him and his bandmates.
Now, he's addressed the recent adaptation of One Direction fanfictions from books to film, saying: "It's weird, all that s**t but there's not much you can do about it.
"I'd rather they didn't, but it is what it is, I won't be watching."
In the past following an animated sex scene which aired in Euphoria, Louis hit the roof, taking to Twitter saying: "I can categorically say that I was not contacted nor did I approve it."
He went on to tell The Guardian: "I get the cultural intention behind that but I think… It just felt a little bit… No, I'm not going to lie, I was p****d off. It annoyed me that a big company would get behind it."
