Hitmaker Louis Tomlinson has taken to Twitter to announce he is cancelling his Moscow and Kyiv amid the Russia-Ukraine war.
The former One Direction singer, 30, uploaded a statement to the micro-blogging site on Monday evening to share that his main priority is the safety of his fans.
He then went on to tell that his thoughts are with people suffering amid the "needless war."
Louis wrote in a statement: "Due to the recent events in Ukraine, I have to sadly announce that my tour shows in Moscow and Kyiv are cancelled until further notice."
The chart-topper continued: "The safety of my fans is my priority and my thoughts gp out to the people of Ukraine and al those suffering from this needless war."
He then signed off with his name.
Louis was due to perform at the Stereo Plaza venue in the Ukrainian capital on Monday July 4.
He was then scheduled to play at Russia's Circus City Hall in Moscow on Wednesday July 6.
Last week, Vladimir Putin started an assault on Ukraine after weeks of preparation.
Thousands have already died - including 16 Ukrainian children - and thousands of people have already fled Kyiv.
Russia is believed to have an arsenal of nearly 6,000 nuclear weapons at its disposal - the most of any country in the world.
Today, the Russian offensive in Ukraine entered its fifth day, with Putin's forces targeting the capital Kyiv and major cities of Kharkiv and Chernihiv.
Putin ordered part of his nuclear forces to be on enhanced combat duty in an alarming escalation of tensions.
Peace talks are underway and Ukraine has made a formal request to join the European Union.
