Louis Theroux has shared a list of A-listers he would love to interview.
The broadcaster and author, 53, has been interviewing some of the biggest names in the world for the past two decades.
In his series, When Louis Met… he has interviewed the likes of disgraced presenter Jimmy Savile, politician Ann Widdicombe, boxer Chris Eubank and publicist Max Clifford.
He recently returned to the format - releasing six new interviews with names including rapper Stormzy, actor Dami Judi Dench, adventurer Bear Grylls and comedian Katherine Ryan.
A new series is set to be released this year - with the likes of former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, actor Ashley Walters, whistleblower Chelsea Manning, Hollywood icon Dame Joan Collins, musician Pete Doherty and singer-songwriter, Raye, taking part.
But Theroux has now revealed who still remains on his “to get” list - with Hollywood stars Tom Cruise and John Travolta among the names.
He said in a recent Q&A: “The door is always open for Tom Cruise. If Lisa Marie Presley was still alive, she would be ideal as well.
"Dave Chapelle would be a big get, but possibly controversial, [and I’d love to speak to] [...] John Travolta.”
Theroux also spoke about how he still gets star-struck, adding: “It feels a bit like playing favourites to say who, but in the rushes, I think I can play it off…but when we look at the material , my face gives me away and sometimes I can look too excited.”
“It can be a problem,” he laughed.
Speaking about his upcoming series Theroux said: “The six guests are all distinctive and brilliant in different ways, all of them people who have endured setbacks and huge successes, and who have something to share with the world based on their journeys through life.
“We have tried to build on the success of the first six Louis Theroux Interviews, while pushing further this time into terrain that is gritty and difficult, exploring subjects like mental health, brushes with the law, and political controversy.
“The tone of the shows is always open-minded and generous-hearted, while hopefully being funny, and always mindful of the need to keep viewers interested. I like them, and I’m notoriously hard to please.”
