Louis Saha names two Premier League transfers that would bring "guarantees" for Man Utd

Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha believes Brighton stars Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo would be excellent signings for the Red Devils this summer.

The pair have both been linked with moves away from Brighton following their impressive showings for the Seagulls. Caicedo attempted to force through a move to league leaders Arsenal in January by publicly asking the club to let him leave.

However, Brighton held firm and Caicedo ended up signing a new contract less than two months later. The 21-year-old remains linked with a summer transfer, though, and has previously admitted his "dream" is to play for United.

Mac Allister, meanwhile, has been the subject of much speculation since starring for Argentina as they won the World Cup and his father Carlos has revealed he will "most likely" leave Brighton in the summer.

"Normally the next [transfer window] will find him playing in another institution, we don't know which one," he told Puro Boca, as per bolavip. "The talks are just beginning in general, but it is most likely that Alexis will already be playing in another team next July."

The likes of United, Liverpool and Arsenal are all said to be interested in his services and Saha is a big fan of both players, stating that they will "provide a lot of guarantees" for manager Erik ten Hag should they join.

"I think Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo are good players, I'm a big fan of Caicedo in particular," Saha told DAZN. "They are the type of players Man Utd may look for because they are aggressive, intelligent and good on the ball. They provide a lot of guarantees."

However, Saha believes that their potential additions would spell the end of Fred and Scott McTominay's time at United, adding: "There are lots of players in those positions too. Whether Fred and McTominay are thinking they will move if Ten Hag signs them, then that's a possibility.

"If that's not the case it would be strange. You have Casemiro, Eriksen, Bruno who can play there. Even if the season is long, it won't provide the right platform for Fred and McTominay, if they sign Mac Allister and Caicedo."
