EuroMillions players all over Ireland could be in with the chance of becoming Ireland’s latest multi-millionaire after tonight’s EuroMillions draw worth an eye-watering €215 million.
A North County Dublin family syndicate currently hold the record for winning the highest EuroMillions jackpot in Ireland after winning €175.4 million in February 2019. Their winning ticket was purchased in Reilly’s Daybreak in Naul, Co. Dublin.
The EuroMillions jackpot has already been won once so far this year in Ireland when a Clare family syndicate won a life-changing €30.9 million after purchasing their ticket at Larkin’s Gala service station in Ballina on the border of Tipperary, Limerick and Clare.
This year has also seen another three Irish EuroMillions players become millionaires after players in Cork and Galway won €1 million each in the special EuroMillions Raffle draw, which took place on January 21.
With the countdown on for tonight’s massive €215 million (est) draw, the National Lottery is appealing to players to purchase their tickets early either in-store, through the National Lottery App or at www.lottery.ie ahead of the 7.30pm deadline for ticket sales this evening.
A spokesperson for the National Lottery said, “Could a EuroMillions player in Ireland take the title of largest EuroMillions winner ever seen in the country since the game launched here in 2004? A Naul family syndicate have remained our largest winners after winning €175.4 million in February 2019.
“As tonight’s jackpot gets set to roll towards the incredible sum of €215 million, it could prove to be a truly life-changing night for one player. Since 2004, there have been 17 EuroMillions jackpot winners in Ireland and a win tonight could see this rise to an incredible 18.”
“Ahead of the big draw, we are reminding players dreaming of joining the roll call of record-breaking wins to purchase their tickets early ahead of the 7.30pm cut-off time for sales this evening. Don’t forget that tickets can be purchased in-store, through the National Lottery app or at www.lottery.ie.”
