A laidback lottery player realised he had won nearly £60,000 when he woke up in the morning - but ended up going back to bed.
Stan Ismond won the huge prize but said he didn't want to wake his wife with his wild celebrations, so he finished a couple of chores before returning to his fleecy pillow for a lie-in himself.
The lucky man, who lives in the rural village of Abernethy in Saskatchewan, Canada, scooped $100,000 (£58,700) in the lottery draw.
He added an Extra to his Lotto Max ticket in the Western Canada Lottery Corporation draw and matched the last six digits for the draw.
Stan woke up the following morning and checked his numbers on the Lotto Spot app while his wife stayed in bed.
After learning of his big win, he said he quietly carried on with his daily routine and then went back to bed for a bit.
He said: "I didn't want to wake up my wife. Internally, I was saying ‘Woo hoo’.
"It feels amazing. One of the greatest feelings ever."
Stan bought his winning ticket on the day of the draw at the Balcarres Liquor Store in Balcarres - and said he plans to invest his cash prize.
Last year, an Ontario man scooped a $1million (£587,000) lottery prize for the second time in just over 12 months.
Antoine Beaini, 68, from the town of Milton, said he continued to play Lotto Max despite winning $1million in the summer of 2021.
His love for the game paid off again and he scooped another Maxmillions payout of $1million on September 23 last year.
After beating the odds by winning twice, Antoine said: "I couldn't believe it. I thought ‘again?’
"It was more shocking than the first win."
