Lottery winner driven out of UK after giving £1.5m to people who begged for cash

A lottery winner decided to flee the UK just three years after winning the jackpot as he was fed up of people begging him for money.

Roger Robar said his life has become a suffocating hell and he felt as though he was boxed inside a coffin after winning £6million.

Speaking to the Sunday Mirror back in 1999 he said he had already given out a quarter of his win, after receiving more than 50 requests for help in the first few weeks.
