Los Angeles County has decided that the fastest way to get its outbreak guidance in front of a physician is to put it inside the tool the physician is already searching.
The county Department of Public Health announced on July 23 a collaboration with OpenEvidence, an AI-powered clinical decision support platform, under which physicians in Los Angeles County who search selected public health topics will be shown LA-specific messages from the health department. Those messages are meant to link clinicians to local resources and health alerts covering reportable diseases, outbreaks and other time-sensitive public health issues, according to the county announcement.
