A lorry fire on the Edinburgh City Bypass is sending plumes of smoke into the city sky.
Blaze crews were scrambled to the A68 sliproad off the A720 around 2pm today.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service mobilised four engines to the scene as they tackled the fire.
Photos taken on the A720 show thick, black smoke billowing from the vehicle, which was heading down the turn off to the A68.
The front part of the truck appears to be engulfed in flames.
Two fire crews remain on the scene as they continue to battle to extinguish the blaze.
The sliproad is currently closed due to the incident, Traffic Scotland has confirmed.
It is not yet known whether anyone has been injured or what caused the fire.
