This was no different for Jonathan Owens who has accused Costa coffee staff of holding a “racist” attitude after they left him “extremely embarrassed” when refusing his Scottish cash. The lorry driver was unable to pay for his two bottles of fizzy juice after a barista turned their nose up at his money.
The 46-year-old had been visiting a branch at Langley Park in Kent and has accused the coffee brand of “ostracising an entire country.” He had been delivering furniture to a nearby GP with three of his colleagues when the incident took place on November 23.
