Lorraine Kelly has admitted she piled on the pounds during lockdown and became 'very unhappy' with her body.
The TV favourite, 62, says she began comfort eating when the global Covid 19 pandemic hit and found herself over indulging in nightly chocolate 'mountain'.
Speaking to Women & Home she explained: "After gaining weight in lockdown, I’d become very unhappy with my size. Like most of the nation, I had been comfort-eating, not doing as much exercise as normal and my husband has no conception of portion control."
The broadcasting pro said prior to the pandemic she'd be enjoying Weight Watchers using the app but soon slipped up and gained 1.5 stone leaving her annoyed and frustrated.
But the Celebrity Gogglebox star has since taken control of her diet once more is feeling back to her 'happier self' allowing her to ditch baggy dresses for more flattering figure hugging items after dropping two dress sizes.
Lorraine, who recently celebrated 30 years of marriage with cameraman Steve Smith, said: "I’m now a size 10 or 11 depending on what shop I go to. I still enjoy a drink at the weekend and eat what I want to eat, I just don’t eat vast quantities of it!"
And now she's now more confident with her appearance she says she is 'too scared' to alter any of her facial features but has been blessed with inheriting 'incredible skin and cheekbones' from her mum Anne Kelly.
She admitted: "I’ve got wee patches of grey but I’ve never done anything to my face. I’m too scared to do botox. I’ve heard too many stories over the years where people have ended up looking like Klingons.''
Meanwhile Lorraine is keen to get out and enjoy the fresh air and shared a shot of herself in a fit of laughter as her canine companions perched around her.
She opted for a dressed down look from her usual glam in a cream gilet and blue base layer with matching blue jeans and trainers.
Captioning a re-share of a fashion brands post she penned: " Love this look - so comfy!!"
