Lorraine Kelly tells Harry and Meghan to 'stop' after latest Netflix trailer drops

Lorraine Kelly has hit out and urged Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to 'stop' once the second part of their Netflix docuseries airs on Thursday.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have found themselves at the centre of a media storm following the release of their Netflix series, Harry and Meghan. The first instalments of the docuseries dropped on Thursday, December 8, and told the story of how the pair met and fell in love, as well as the intense media interest in their relationship.

Harry and Meghan part two will come to the streaming giant Thursday, December 15, as the latest trailer was released on Monday. The explosive trailer contains a clip of Harry saying: “They were happy to lie to protect my brother. They were never willing to tell the truth to protect us.”

Discussing the couple's Netflix series, Lorraine, 63, urged the couple to let it go and move on once Prince Harry's memoir is released in the new year. Lorraine added that although people are in two minds about Harry and Meghan’s series, she genuinely ‘wishes them the best’ but hopes there will be a line drawn soon.

"This has got to stop," she told showbiz correspondent Ross King. "Once this comes out on Thursday, once the book has come out...they can’t just keep talking about their families."

She continued: "They’ve got to then build their own lives…and for goodness sake they’ve got two gorgeous healthy children, they love each other very much, a beautiful big house.

"It’s like enough already, enough, enough!"

Lorraine also weighed in on the royal drama on Monday morning, after calling out Meghan's father Thomas Markle for staging paparazzi photoshoots. "He was a silly, silly man. He was stupid and he should have answered her calls," she said.

The ITV host also said it would be wrong for Harry and Meghan not to be invited to King Charles' coronation next year if Prince Andrew gets an invitation. Speaking to royal editor Russell Myers on Monday, she stated: “Should they or shouldn’t they attend the coronation?

“A lot of people saying they shouldn’t but come on, if Prince Andrew is gonna be there. If dodgy heads of state, and you know how dodgy they are, if they’re gonna be there at the coronation - of course, they should be there. Surely?”

“It will be an interesting one to see if they do turn up,” royal correspondent Russell replied. “They should definitely get invited,” Lorraine responded.

Harry and Meghan volume two will air on Netflix Thursday, December 15 at 8am.
