Lorraine Kelly 'suffering mightily' amid break from ITV show

Lorraine Kelly experienced a range of emotions on Thursday night amid a summer break from her self-titled ITV show.

Ranvir Singh and Christine Lampard are currently replacing Lorraine while she takes her usual summer break from presenting duties. The presenter has shared a series of Instagram updates with her fans during the break, many of which feature her adorable dogs.

Away from our screens, Lorraine is a keen Dundee United fan, and on Thursday her team and many fans travelled to the Netherlands. Dundee took on AZ Alkmaar, hoping to get through to the next round of the Europa Conference League.

Lorraine was clearly following all the action, tweeting her frustration throughout as goal after goal was scored against her team. Throughout the evening, her commentary included: "Make it stop", and "OMFG - I can’t watch - this is desperate".

She also retweeted a post from a fellow fan who said: "Feel for every supporter who has travelled to Amsterdam".

The match finished 7-0 to AZ Alkmaar, 3-1 to the Dutch team on aggregate, meaning Dundee's hopes were dashed. When it was all over, Lorraine said she and her fellow supporters were "suffering mightily".

Lorraine is expected to return to our screens next month.

Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV and the ITV Hub
