Lorraine Kelly will present her show with cards today after losing her voice.
The ITV presenter is unable to talk due to a sore throat and took to Twitter to ask her followers for advice on how to cure it quickly. Today, as Good Morning Britain hosts Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway spoke to her in the crossover from their ITV show, she revealed she will be holding up cards with words written on it throughout her show as she can't speak.
Lorraine was joined by Dr Hilary as he confirmed what they'd be speaking about on the show, with the presenter nodding along as she held up signs with words written on to explain her lack of speaking.
Taking to Twitter before, Lorraine revealed before making a joke: "HELP! I’ve lost my voice - any cures that have worked for you (and yes - well aware some might say me not able to talk can only be a blessing)."
When her show began, Lorraine struggled through but it was clear her voice was very hoarse.
It comes after Lorraine was sent home before her ITV show after falling ill, with Ranvir Singh stepping in to replace her. At the time, Kate Garraway and Ed Balls said it was the first time in a long time, maybe ever, that Lorraine had missed a show because she was ill.
The TV presenter took to Twitter to confirm she was sick before "suddenly being attacked" by an unknown illness.
"When you have to be sent home from work early in the morning because you are suddenly attacked by a hideous bug and were looking forward to interviewing @adamlambert THAT! Beyond disappointed but imagine if I had infected him!" she wrote at the time.
When the show started, Ranvir was in Lorraine's seat and confirmed she rushed into work to help ITV bosses out. She revealed to Kate and Ed: "I got a call from the editor at 7.18 and I was on the train at 7.30," before wishing Lorraine well.
Lorraine returned to work a few days later, where her co-stars asked how she was feeling.
"Are you feeling better Lorraine?" Ed asked, before she replied to say: "Much much better thank you. Can I just say a big thank you to Ranvir who, when I was sent home on Wednesday, rushed in and saved the day.
"Thank you so much love. She's absolutely brilliant, as always. She's superwoman, she's superwoman!"
Her sickness bug came only a few weeks after Lorraine nearly missed her show for the first time after an alarm clock blunder. Back in December, she woke up in a sheer panic at two in the morning thinking she had missed her alarm and quickly got showered and ready, before taking a closer look and noticed that she had completely misread the time.
