Lorraine Kelly has returned to work with a full bill of health after previously being sent home with a “buglet”.
The Scottish TV star, 63, delighted fans on Monday when she returned to her ITV daytime show after after being forced to miss a couple of days due to illness.
Giving a health update to Dr Hilary Jones on Lorraine, she explained: “I’m fine. That was so weird last week, I came in on Wednesday morning and I got sent home.
“It was just a buglet and normally I can bat them away but this time it was a cracker. It’s all good.”
Kelly was replaced by Good Morning Britain presenter Ranvir Singh at the last minute on Wednesday after suddenly being taken sick.
Explaining her absence on Twitter, she wrote: “When you have to be sent home from work early in the morning because you are suddenly attacked by a hideous bug and were looking forward to interviewing @adamlambert THAT! Beyond disappointed but imagine if I had infected him!!!!!!”
Kelly had revealed the day before that she would be returning to screens when she gave a hilarious response to a fan online who said they could not believe her age, writing: “Feck Stuartie — neither can I! See you 9am tomorrow.”
