Lorraine Kelly hits back at I'm a Celeb rumours as fans urge her to go in the jungle

TV presenter Lorraine Kelly has hit back at rumours suggesting she could be seen in the jungle.

ITV's I'm a Celebrity will return this year with another clan of celebrities facing stomach churning tasks and the odds on Lorraine stepping foot in the land down under are in her favour.

She has seen a surge from fans backing her to enter I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! this year at William Hill - despite previously denying she’d want to appear on the show.

Bookies have speculated that the morning host could make an appearance but Lorraine has strongly denied this.

Taking to Twitter she responded to the claims: "FFS - again another terrific show to watch but there’s no way on God’s green earth I’m eating a kangaroos bum hole in front of @antanddec (or indeed anyone - or alone - just no!)."

The Scottish presenter is priced at 10-1 to enter the jungle, as fans noticed she’d rebuffed a potential Strictly appearance, yet stayed tight-lipped about swirling I’m a Celeb rumours.

But fans of her breakfast show may note she isn't as adverse to taking on a bush-tucker trial as she may have suggested, having run several I’m a Celeb-inspired mini challengers on ITV's Lorraine.

Commenting on the odds for Lorraine Kelly, Tony Kenny, William Hill spokesperson, said: “There’s a bit of a trend with some I’m a Celebrity contestants in that they’re adamant they’re not up to the challenge - just shortly before being announced as contestants on the next series. It’s not surprising then that Lorraine is amongst the most eagerly-backed this year.

“Her fans are no doubt keen to see how she’d interact with the other stars - and whether she could handle a bush-tucker trial after all. Lorraine is in the ideal position to make waves on a show like that - and with Strictly well and truly ruled out, why not I’m a Celeb?”

Jungle fever is once again sweeping the nation as I’m a Celeb is set to air on or around Sunday November 13, and is once again back in its original Australian setting.
