Lorraine Kelly was in a sling over the Christmas holiday as she recovered from a secret surgery. The Scottish telle presenter spoke about the shoulder operation on her eponymous ITV breakfast programme.
The 63-year-old was chatting with Dr Hilary in the Lorraine studio when she revealed she had a quiet Christmas following the keyhole surgery on her shoulder. She said: "I had the most quiet one ever, I did because I had a wee operation on my shoulder – it's been annoying me for ages."
As a photo of her sitting on the sofa at home wearing a sling appeared on screen, Lorraine added: "There I am, celebrating Christmas! Thank you to professor Levy and his brilliant team because oh my goodness me, keyhole surgery is incredible!"

"They just had to remove some calcification and a little bit of bone and yeah, I'm doing my physio and I'm all fine, but we had a really quiet Christmas and New Year", reported The Mirror. The mum of one added that she was well looked-after by her daughter Rosie and husband Steve Smith.
After Dr Hilary asked whether she indulged in a "wee dram" to help with the shoulder pain, Lorraine said: "Yes. Well, you said that it was alright, to have one or two". As she started laughing, Dr Hilary interjected: "Did I?!"
She continued: "I was actually very, very well behaved. And I'm doing fine and I'm doing lots of different exercises and I'm getting there." Dr Hilary said: "You've got to do your physio, it's very important" as Lorraine added: "But how amazing is keyhole surgery?"
