Lorraine Kelly has shared her disappointment Ed Sheeran won't be performing at King Charles' Coronation Concert this weekend.
The TV presenter, 63, seemed baffled the chart-topper will not be in attendance at the historical celebration.
It comes after suggestions Ed turned down the offer along with Adele due to scheduling conflicts.
The King was said to have been "very keen" for the Shape of You star to perform at his event on Sunday.
On her ITV show, Lorraine said: "I would’ve thought Ed would be at the concert but…," as she shrugged.
Ed Sheeran "was unable to make the concert due to logistics and previous touring commitments" it was claimed.
However, it was revealed the hitmaker won't be appearing at the royal event as he has been drafted in to replace Katy Perry on American Idol in its upcoming episodes as she gets set to perform at the King's event.
Both American Idol judges, Katy and Lionel Richie will be jetting to London as they take part in the star-studded lineup.
It leaves two free seats beside remaining judge Luke Bryan.
Ed and Alanis Morissette will be filling in and also taking to the stage themselves for separate performances throughout their stint.
"It’s big time. It’s big time," Luke insisted. "The people that we have filling in, contestants have used their songs many, many times.
"A lot more than mine!"
The Coronation Concert will be held on May 7, on the grounds of Windsor Castle with 20,000 in attendance – and is set to be broadcast live on BBC.
Music acts Paloma Faith, Olly Murs, veteran rock guitarist Steve Winwood, Pussycat Dolls’ Nicole Scherzinger and Chinese pianist Lang Lang have also been added to the line-up.
Among the other new names set to perform are Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage, DJ Pete Tong with his Ibiza Classics project, and winner of The Piano TV talent show, Lucy.
A number of big names have reportedly turned down invitations to join, including Sir Elton John and the Spice Girls among the list of those who can't make it.
Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran, Adele and Robbie Williams are all said to have said no due to their jam-packed schedules.
Other stars to be announced join the line-up of Take That, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, plus classical acts including Andrea Bocelli and Welsh bass-baritone Sir Bryn Terfel.
