Arlene Phillips spoke on Lorraine this morning about the massive production surrounding 'The Cher Show', that will visit Edinburgh later this year.
Speaking to host Christine Lampard, Arlene said: "It’s an amazing story. Cher’s life is just about an iconic woman with hits in every decade, speaks out for women’s rights regardless of the reception she gets, and she always found a way to challenge the expectations of being a woman.
“The expectation for a woman at that time was sit quiet, don’t answer back: but not for Cher. She found this inner strength and we tell her life story, through all of her glorious music, going through her life, and finishing with a big concert!
“I’m loving it, I was working yesterday with Oti Mabuse (Double strictly winner, and choreographer), we spent time prepping, and it just is so crazy.”
“Her [Chers] costumes, designed by Gabby Slade who worked on the musical SIX, are unbelievable, they’ll end up in a museum one day. They are stunning, just absolutely stunning.”

Arlene also said that she feels that people will really enjoy the show, after all the hard work that has been put into the production of the musical.
She added: “I am hoping with Gabby’s designing, Oti’s choreography and the way I have been working on the story with James Cousins, and Rick Ellis, there’s gonna be a lot going on!”
The Cher Show will visit the Festival Theatre in Edinburgh from Tuesday October 11 to Saturday October 15, and tickets are still available to purchase here.
