The final episode of Happy Valley aired last night (January 5) and it wasn't long before people flooded to social media with their thoughts, with Line of Duty mentioned time and time again.
Whilst many enjoyed the final episode of the hit series starring Sarah Lancashire, viewers on Twitter said that the writers of Line of Duty should take note on how a finale should be written, with Glasgow's Lorraine Kelly being in agreement.
It comes a few years after the finale starring Martin Compston, which aired on May 2 2021, was branded a disappointment, with people at home left unhappy when the infamous 'H' was revealed. So much so people are asking for a seventh season as they do not believe the show should end that way.

Speaking about the finale on Lorraine whilst chatting to Karl Davies, who plays Daniel Cawood, the host herself even admitted that Line of Duty and Game of Thrones "did not live up to expectations" as she spoke about the excitement of the episode, adding that the Happy Valley final was very different and was in fact, more than a good ending.
She later said that whilst the Happy Valley finale gained rave reviews and positive feedback, the drama starring the beloved Scots man could return adding: "That's why Line of Duty is coming back".
Speaking about the finale, one said: "Between Tommy Hunter in line of duty and Tommy Lee Royce in Happy Valley, don’t think I’ll be trusting anyone named tommy ever again #HappyValley."
Another added: "If Line of Duty does come back they should get Sally Wainwright to write it x #HappyValleyFinale."
"Fair play #HappyValley, that's how you end a series. You did what Line of Duty and Game of Thrones couldn't do. As finale's go, up there with The Office and Breaking Bad for me. Kudos" tweeted a third.
