Diletta Leotta landed in London on Saturday afternoon, with a rather awkward task ahead of her on Sunday as she prepares to host TV coverage of the Carabao Cup final, which looks likely to see her boyfriend Loris Karius get the nod in goal for Newcastle United.
And one of the first things she did in the capital city was visit Trafalgar Square to witness the epic scenes as Magpies fans filled the air with their chants.
It was this time last week that Karius, a signing from Liverpool last year, was suddenly thrust into contention for a pivotal role at Wembley as United number one Nick Pope was shown a straight red card for handling the ball outside the box as Newcastle lost 2-0 to Karius' old club at St James' Park.

With obvious replacement Martin Dubravka cup tied, due to playing for Sunday's Carabao Cup finalists Manchester United earlier this season, that left manager Eddie Howe with the choice of Karius or fellow reserve stopper Mark Gillespie. On the eve of the big game, it became increasingly likely that it will be Karius who gets picked to go between the posts as NUFC play for a trophy at Wembley for the first time in 24 years.
And, as well as having tens of thousands of Toon fans hoping that he has the game of his life, he will also be under the watchful eye of famous other half Diletta, who will be presenting coverage of the game for sports streaming service DAZN.
Diletta, who has a colossal following of over 8.6 million on Instagram, has already had a busy season, covering games in Italy's Serie A and the Champions League and, after hinting she was preparing for Wembley earlier this week, she caught a flight from Italy to London on Saturday
She confirmed her arrival in the capital by posting a photo of herself on a bridge overlooking the River Thames and then got a slice of the epic atmosphere at Trafalgar Square, as she got her taxi to stop so she could take in the scenes and sounds of Newcastle fans belting out Tell Me Ma, Me Ma.
As the door opened Diletta looked totally overwhelmed by the huge noise of the supporters who will be backing her boyfriend all the way on Sunday.
