The Lords of the Fallen release times are coming up fast, and as is usually the case with multiplatform releases, you can access it at different times if you’re playing on PC or console. Xbox players can jump into the Soulslike RPG even earlier with just a little fiddling around with your location setting. Unlike some games that release on multiple PC launchers, you get the same time no matter where you buy it.

Lords of the Fallen release times on PlayStation and Xbox
When you can play Lords of the Fallen on PlayStation and Xbox is much simpler. The game unlocks at midnight local time across all time zones. If you’re on Xbox, there is another way you can play early, though.
How to play Lords of the Fallen early
Pulling off the New Zealand trick lets you start playing Lords of the Fallen early, though it’s not as easy to do on PlayStation.
If you’re on Xbox:
- Open the “Settings” menu
- Choose the “System” submenu
- Choose “Time”
Change your local time to UTC+12 Auckland, Wellington. That’s 17 hours ahead of Eastern time, 20 ahead of Pacific time, and five ahead of British Summer Time, for reference. Once release time rolls around, the game will unlock on your console.
If you’re on PS5, you have to create a new account and set New Zealand as your region. That means:
- Having an alternate email address
- Choosing a New Zealand physical address
- Purchasing the base game and expansion from the New Zealand PSN
Your achievements won’t be shared between that account and your main account, and unless you play in offline mode, you’ll have to play Mirage on the New Zealand user account.
