Lord Alan Sugar sparked confusion amongst fans of The Apprentice after the final result thanks to a finger point he made in the boardroom.
Anyone who's seen just one episode of the hit BBC show will know that the business mogul always leans over the table to deliver the gesture to the candidate he fires at the end of every show. But, in the final it's hiring rather than hiring that Lord Sugar does.
Tongues first started wagging on who was going to win The Apprentice this year and the head honcho's £250,000 investment at the end of last week's episode, when a brief teaser aired before credits rolled, showing Lord Sugar pointing in one definite direction across the table and saying: "You're my new business partner."

And many viewers firmly believed that he was pointing in the direction of pyjama entrepreneur Kathryn Burn. So it came as a surprise when it was her rival Harpreet Kaur who triumphed in the final boardroom of the series.
At the end of last Thursday's semi final, one very confident viewer took to Twitter to post: "Each week I’ve been predicting who will be fired on #TheApprentice, based on the direction of @Lord_Sugar ’s finger point, with a 100% success rate. Could it be more obvious that Kathryn will win next week, based on the direction of Sugar’s finger and the contestants seats!?"
As another viewer challenged their theory, the same Twitter user replied: "Isn’t it obvious from their head tilts! Harpreet is on the left, Kathryn is on the right!" Another Apprentice predicting a Kathryn win commented: "Not to mention the direction of the camera, which would suggest those are their seat positions! I don’t know why they still use the finger point - it’s a massive spoiler."
The final task saw winner Harpreet and Kathryn reunited with fired candidates to launch their own businesses. And in the end, it was Harpreet's Oh So Yum that impressed Lord Sugar the most.
