Carol McGiffin and Gloria Hunniford clashed on Loose Women following a discussion about whether the public should accept Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s rule-breaking apology.
Carol described the Prime Minister’s apology as “meaningless” and in order for people to move on, he needs to “realise what has been done”. Meanwhile, Gloria stressed: “You can’t bang on about something that has already been investigated.”
The two Loose Women, along with Christine Lampard and Judi Love, discussed Boris Johnson’s lockdown actions on the show on Wednesday, April 20 after he received a fine from police.

Most Tory MPs have rallied behind the Prime Minister, but Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has called his apology a "joke".
Whilst Gloria appeared fairly accepting of Boris’ apology, the majority of voters on Twitter sided with Carol, believing that we shouldn’t accept it.
Gloria, who has appeared as a regular panellist on Loose Women since 2014, described how she was "bored" of the story and believes that we should all move on. This not only prompted fury from Carol but also viewers on Twitter.
One Twitter user wrote: “Is Gloria Hunniford being serious?”
Another said: “She should be calling for him to resign.”
The Prime Minister insisted today in the House of Commons that he is focused on dealing with “serious problems that require attention.”
