Prue Leith pleaded with women to embrace more colour in their later years.
The Great British Bake Off judge joined the Loose Women panel to discuss her new tour and the show. Before she had a chance to settle, she was inundated with compliments on her bold colour-blocked style.
Prue thanked her stylist for doing an incredible job on her wardrobe, admitting she simply keeps whatever she likes the look of. Ruth Langsford claimed older women typically gravitate toward blacks and dark blue colours because they're flattering but Prue urged everyone to step outside the box.

The baking connoisseur pleaded with the panel and audience to embrace colour as time goes on, because it's needed in old age far more than in youth. She said: "Things like the specs and the necklaces... I just love them. I can't stop buying them.
"I like colour. I love colour. So many women write to me and say 'You're so brave to wear a yellow coat' but I think as you get older you need colour more. When you're young you're so lovely anyway. You don't even need any lippy.
She added: "I think everyone needs to be brave."
