Loose Women's Nadia takes swipe at Phillip Schofield with her 'bad-mouthing' rule

Loose Women's Nadia Sawalha has taken a swipe at Phillip Schofield after he quit This Morning over the weekend.

Phil made the decision to leave the show 'immediately' after 20 years amir reports of a 'feud' him and co-star of 13 years Holly Willoughby, with rumours mounting that the pair were "barely speaking" off camera.

Since leaving the ITV show, This Morning guests and stars including Clodagh Mckenna, Rochelle Humes, and Matthew Wright have all shown their support for Phillip.

Former ITV star Piers Morgan also claimed the departing presenter "deserved a better send-off".

However others including Amanda Holden and Eamonn Holmes, have used the time to make digs at Phil.

Phillip's dramatic exit from the daytime show has remained largely unaddressed on other ITV shows such as Good Morning Britain and Loose Women.

Addressing the 'radio silence', Nadia said on her podcast Coffee Moaning: "This story with Phillip and Holly is just huge, it’s just everywhere. There’s so much speculation and so much chat.

"I think everybody at ITV, like my colleagues, and whether I’m doing a live Instagram or on [YouTube], there is the constant question of why haven’t we said anything? Why are we not saying anything? It is difficult, because I do have a rule."

She added: "There are people who don’t stick to that rule and I believe that a certain person who is in the news at the moment didn’t stick to that so much with me a long while ago. I’m just going to leave that there…

"Something that I never actually heard but that [my husband] and friends told me while I was in Big Brother."

Nadia continued: "I don’t know Phillip and Holly. They pass around the studios but I’ve never had a cup of coffee with them, I’ve never sat and had a chat with them.

"But I have a rule - and I think it’s a good one - that I don’t bad-mouth people that are colleagues. I think that’s what makes you a decent person or not."

First to show their support for Phillip was celebrity chef Clodagh McKenna, who posted a gushing tribute to Phillip but remained silent about Holly.

Appearing on the show following the drama, Alison and Dermot paid tribute to Phillip, but eagle-eyed This Morning fans immediately flocked to Twitter to accuse the pair of appearing 'insincere' when speaking of the fallen presenter.

Rochelle Humes also broke the mold to pay tribute to Phil as she made it her business to show the fallen presenter just how much is mentoring helped her to excel in her presenting career.

This Morning regular Matthew Wright has said that he is 'gutted' for Phillip.

Meanwhile, Josie Gibson took to Instagram on Monday to post two very cryptic quotes.

One quote read: "Remember, being happy doesn't mean you have it all. It simply means you're thankful for all you have."

And another quote read: "I think the most beautiful thing in the world is watching the light come on in someone's eyes, after they have been lost in the dark for so long."
