Loose Women's Janet Street-Porter hits out at neighbours in heated rant that angers co-stars

Janet Street-Porter risked a war with her neighbours after complaining about them live on Tuesday's Loose Women, with comments that angered her co-stars Coleen Nolan and Katie Piper.

Outspoken journalist Janet joined her colleagues and host Christine Lampard for the latest edition of the ITV lunchtime discussion show when a debate started about whether or not children should be banned from weddings. Sitting alongside from her, Coleen said that while she had daughter Keira as the flower girl at her second wedding, she wouldn't welcome other children being there, particularly babies.

And it was then that Janet let rip about her neighbour's child playing loudly on the trampoline in the garden, early in the morning. After Christine talked about how, as a mother, she has consideration for others who may not necessarily want kids around, she replied: "You are an example of as thoughtful mother, but I live near some people with two small children under five, who think it's perfectly acceptable for their children to go in the back garden at 7.15 in the morning, on a trampoline and jump up and down screaming."

Looking far from impressed with what Janet had to say, Loose Women co-star Coleen immediately shot back: "It is," which riled Janet even further as she threw her hands up in the air and shouted: "What's OK about that?!" Giving her opinion, Katie remarked: "I mean, that's not early for children 7.15l they're up at half 5!"

Continuing to disagree with Janet, Coleen told her: "It's their garden and their trampoline," as Janet hit back: "But my garden is my sacred space and it's next door! I'm quiet in my garden." Not backing down herself, Coleen then asked: "Well, why don't you live on a child free street?!"

Loose Women viewers at home were quick to react to the conversation, with one tweeting: "Poor Janet’s neighbours," but a second, siding with Janet, writing: "I'm with Janet on this one. The neighbours behind us are lovely, but they've got a grandchild who will not leave me alone when I'm in the garden and it genuinely stops me going out there. Her mum never intervenes and it's beyond irritating!
