Loose Women's Jane Moore 'shaken' after being targeted by thief on her doorstep

Jane Moore said she felt 'shaken' and 'upset' after having items that mean a lot to her family, stolen from outside her home at the weekend.

Journalist Jane was back on the panel of the ITV lunchtime show on Wednesday, joining Christine Lampard, Coleen Nolan and Kelle Bryan for its third episode of the week. At the start of the programme, host Christine mentioned that the panel would be talking about a rise in petty crimes and people becoming more active in neighbourhood watch style groups and apps.

And then, midway through Loose Women and, just before an ad break, Christine than revealed that someone on the panel had been a victim of crime in the last few days, with it then being confirmed that it was in fact Jane that she was referring to.

Recalling what had happened, Jane explained that she was busy having a clear out to take things into storage, telling her co-stars: "My mum has this little set of china that she's collected all her life. It's errr...people might know it; it's like Aynsley China, little ceramic bouquets of flowers and there's one for every month of the year."

"She's collected them painstakingly over 50 years, so I wrapped them all up in newspaper to protect them and put them in the box."

Discussing what happened next, Jane continued: "My car was literally right outside my front door. I put it (the box) on the back seat of my car, closed the door to go in and get something else, but didn't lock it, came out two minutes later...gone, gone!

"Just some opportunistic thief. And I just think, OK it wasn't worth a lot, but sentimentally it was. That's not the point, it's our stuff."

Jane added that there were some days that she felt she had to come off the neighbourhood apps she was on as every day there'd be people posting about having something stolen.
