Loose Women's Gok Wan stunned by Kaye Adams' 'new' voice

Gok Wan was left taken aback by Kaye Adams' "new" voice on Thursday's instalment of Loose Women.

The regular guest presenter was live from Braintree in Essex to tell viewers how they could be in with a chance of winning a huge sum of cash. But as Kaye welcomed the segment to the programme, Gok was left stunned by her voice.

Kaye was joined on the panel with fellow Loose Women hosts Linda Robson, Denise Welch and Judi Love. They sat down with Russell T Davies to discuss everything from Coronation Street to Crossroads.

Later in the show they welcomed Strictly head judge Shirley Ballas to the studio, where she told viewers about her recent face lift and said she looks "the best I have in years".

One part of the show featured a throwback clip of a much younger Kaye Adams interviewing Margaret Thatcher in the 80s. Her voice in the video was completely different, with her Scottish accent barely noticeable.

Mimicking her voice, Kaye put on an accent and said: "It's competition time now and lines close tomorrow for this incredible prize that could see someone bag £100,000. Gok's live for us in Essex to tell us more. Hi Gok, what are you up to?"

Gok looked startled on hearing Kaye's voice with clearly no idea of the context. Taking to Twitter, Jessica said: "What on earth is Kaye's new voice?"

Rachel said: "Omg 80s Kaye looks and sounds like a different person". Simon said: "That is quite the hairstyle on Kay" [sic].

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV and ITVX
