Loose Women's Denise Welch stuns fans over cosy snap with Taylor Swift after admitting to panic attack over The 1975 request

Denise Welch has stunned her followers as she posed for a cosy snap with Taylor Swift. The Loose Women panelist and American popstar looked like good friends as they posed backstage at London’s O2 Arena after Taylor made a surprise appearance during The 1975's latest show.

She appeared on stage alongside the band on Thursday (January 12) as part of the UK leg of the band’s current international tour. Taylor appeared onstage in a shining mirrored dress, and sang her hit song Anti-Hero for the first time ever live with a white guitar.

And backstage, it appears she got acquainted with Denise, the mum of frontman Matty Healey. She was seen beaming alongside Taylor as they posed for the camera with their arms around one another. "Oh what a night at a sold out 02. So proud I can’t even begin!!" Denise wrote alongside the post.

But it wasn't just Taylor featured in her string of photos on Instagram as she also bagged herself a selfie with Charlie XCX, snuggled up to Loose Women co-star Frankie Bridge - who joined her at the gig - and Florence and the Machine frontwoman Florence Welch. Denise was also proud as punch as she snapped her sons Matty and Louis Healey together after the gig.

Patsy Palmer was among the first to respond, writing: "You must be so proud. Love it." While former co-stars Samia Longchambon and Nikki Sanderson posted heart and applause emojis. Fans meanwhile were going wild.

@inlovewithmattyforages commented: Omg kris jenner met taylor swift!!!" @daniandthediamonds wrote: "This is nuts, Denise!" @_cathanoddy_ replied: "I have never been more jealous of anyone ever." @ariellenoam posted: "This is so unbelievably iconic denise." @cockynairocreative shared: "Awwww this is absolutely awesome. Proud Mum moment."

@shannonkd88 typed: "I think my heart just exploded." @kelliesdana penned: "Omg you met taylor!!" @glorifiedgossipgirl said: "What an icon! (You)." @galactic.grip added: "This whole photo set is so iconic."

But Denise also sparked confusion over her snap with Florence. "The Welch family!! And @frankiebridge @itsleepeart @florence #grace welch," she posted alongside the image which was quickly flooded with comments.

@talktomattyaboutit said: "Denise am I stupid or are you related to Florence… I feel like I would have heard about that." @asia.riddle asked: "Are y’all related to florence?" @wheres_her_at added: "Florence is a Welch but not sure how she’s released to Denise."

Denise's appearance at her son's show comes after she shared how she suffered her first panic attack in years after being inundated with requests for free tickets to see The 1975. Speaking on Loose Women earlier this week, the 62-year-old said: "Everybody wants to be on the guestlist and people I haven't heard from for 100 years want to bring their cousin's cousin and aunties. I have to do a WhatsApp group and say I might be able to do that, but I can't tell you where to park, what time we are going to get there and all these things.

"On top of Christmas and Lincoln's birthday and all the organisation, the night before last - I haven't had this for three years - I had a panic attack. I'm alright today, I took everything out my diary yesterday. I felt the old systems again, and I thought saying this to people would be so ridiculous about the guestlist, but I just felt completely overwhelmed and tired and fatigued."
