Loose Women's Denise Welch says she'll 'shout as loud as she wants' after fiery Meghan Markle row

Loose Women's Denise Welch has taken to Twitter following an on-air row about Meghan Markle on the hit ITV show yesterday.

The TV panellist defended the royal as her fellow co-hosts discussed her latest bombshell interview in US magazine The Cut. Things quickly became heated when Denise and co-star Gloria Hunniford butted heads over the interview, with an intense debate leading to Gloria asking Denise to not 'shout at her' live on air.

The fiery exchange made headlines and Denise has since spoken out after seeing a number of stories about the debate online. Addressing her 534k followers, she wrote: "I’ll shout as loud and as much as I want!! I’m passionate about this subject & have had to listen to 48hr of Meghan and Harry bashing and I’m sick of it!!!"

The post has since racked up more than 2,500 likes and 330 retweets, with plenty of comments from fans agreeing with and supporting her words.

@Madcow42 commented: "I’m with you on this Denise. I cannot believe the amount of bullying they must endure from people who say they know everything about them." @Malcolm_alison replied: "Denise was bang on the money today, no wonder she was passionate, MM is being bullied constantly, haven't people learned anything."

@Galfor added: "Me too Denise. Just such a weird and horrible attitude towards a young couple who have done NOTHING wrong." @IreneWi44664184 said: "Just right Denise far too much hatred from people who don't even know her and believe everything they read!"

In Meghan's interview with The Cut magazine, she spoke about her estranged father Thomas Markle and reflected on the relationship between the Duke of Sussex and the Prince of Wales at her California home.

Speaking about the impact of their decision to step down as senior royals, Meghan told The Cut: "Harry said to me, ‘I lost my dad in this process’. It doesn’t have to be the same for them as it was for me, but that’s his decision."

Meghan also said that she will be “getting back on Instagram” after deleting her account more than four years ago as part of becoming a senior royal. She added that along with deleting her personal social accounts, she felt like "an actress" playing at being a member of the royal family.

In the Loose Women debate, Denise told the panel she’s been on the “Meghan Markle support wagon” ever since the former Suits star first got together with Prince Harry. She then added, of the media coverage of Meghan: "To live in a world where she is denigrated so badly every day, even when she was suffering incredibly mental health issues with a child, I don’t know how she survives sometimes."
