Denise Welch was 'reprimanded' by her Loose Women colleague Christine Lampard live on air, as the host made a sarcastic quip about the Geordie star's 'night out with Tom Cruise' that made headlines last week.
Denise was back on the panel of the ITV lunchtime show for the first time in a while, after the show was taken off air for most of last week due to the channel focusing on its live horse racing coverage from Cheltenham and her recent exploits, when she unintentionally became the star turn at Sir Michael Caine's 90th birthday, were awarded their own segment in proceedings.
But, apparently keen to talk about the party with her colleagues before her allotted time, Denise was told to be quiet by Christine as Loose Women returned from its first ad break on Wednesday. As cameras cut back to the studio, Denise was seen gossiping with co-stars Brenda Edwards and Kelly Holmes as Christine began her next link.

As the ladies could be heard chatting, Christine began: "Welcome back., still to come ermmm," before shooting her colleagues a look and remarking: "We're o the telly ladies!"
As Denise laughed in her seat, Christine then quipped: "She hasn't stopped talking about her night out with Tom Cruise!" Denise quickly replied: "That is so no true! They keep talking about it! Oh my god, you'll make me look a cringe person!"
The night out in question saw former Coronation Street actress Denise deliver a speak to showbiz legend Michael, which they turned into an impromptu stand up routine as she cracked a suggestive gag, much to the hilarity of A-list guests including Mission Impossible star Tom.
