Brenda Edwards is set to celebrate her son Jamal 's birthday later this month with a touching memorial day for the late star.
The entrepreneur, who helped helped launch the careers of Ed Sheeran, Rita Ora, Stormzy and Dave, tragically passed away in February aged 31.
Ahead of his birthday on August 24, Brenda has revealed the touching way she and Jamal's loved ones are planning to celebrate the day.
A 'mega cookup' is taking place at Studio 338 in London with a surprise guest performance in memory of the SBTV founder.
Taking to Instagram, the Loose Women star announced the news alongside a poster for the event featuring her beloved son.
The 53-year-old singer captioned the post: "Every year I have celebrated my baby’s birthday and this year will be no exception, it’s gonna be a very memorable day celebrating the life of Jamal!
"For more information and to book tickets please see @sbtvonline see you there! Thanks very much."
Fans rushed to the comments section to support Brenda following the news.
One wrote: "Brenda the brave - breaking new ground. Lots of love & admiration for your initiative."
Another added: "Aww thinking of you. You are so brave when I see you on Loose Women."
A third shared: "To be honest Brenda, there isn’t a day where I don’t think about your beautiful family, it’s just so sad that it has to take such a wonderful person away. Will be thinking of you on his birthday."
The post follows shortly after Brenda paid tribute to her “beautiful and selfless” son Jamal at his inquest.
During the inquest, a coroner ruled his tragic death was as a result of a heart attack brought on by alcohol and cocaine.
In a statement read to West London Coroners Court, his heartbroken mum Brenda said: “Jamal was a beautiful and selfless person.
“Since growing up with his family in Acton he made it his personal mission to open doors for others to walk through.
“To help people through life, to love and to laugh. And most importantly, to just make people happy.”
She added: “Jamal helped so many, working tirelessly to give a platform to people.
"His charitable work stretched near and far, from working at homeless shelters to giving back to his roots in St Vincent and the Grenadines.
“We are so proud of everything Jamal achieved over the course of his 31 years and how he impacted others’ lives. We miss him so much.”
Jamal was awarded an MBE for services to music in 2014 at the age of just 24 and was an ambassador for the Prince’s Trust.
