Loose Women fans' horror as Coleen brings out stuffed cat branded 'stuff of nightmares'

Loose Women fans were left deeply disturbed today as Coleen Nolan brought out a stuffed cat into the studio today.

Coleen had been joined by Kaye Adams, Brenda Edwards and Janet Street-Porter on the panel as they discussed whether they would have their pets embalmed when they died.

First up had been Brenda, who said that she would never have her cats Tinie and Tempah stuffed.

"I know I wouldn't because I had Smudge before Tinie and Tempah and unfortunately he died," she said. "I've still got his ashes."

Brenda revealed that she keeps the ashes in a box, but that having her cats stuffed "wasn't for [her]".

Coleen agreed, saying that she also kept the ashes in wooden sleeping cat urns with their names on.

But she then surprised her co-stars by walking off set to bring out a stuffed cat - and fans were left horrified.

One tweeted: "That stuffed cat is horrible, stuff of nightmares. #loosewomen."

While another commented: "I love my cat so much and I have the ashes of my previous cats but no way would I ever have any of them stuffed! It's awful #LooseWomen."

A third wrote: "I could do with one of those stuffed cats, it would scare the neighbourhood cats away from my garden. #LooseWomen."

"I used to have a lady who I cared for who had her own pet cat stuffed once it died, used to give me the creeps every time I walked into her room the cat went with her when she passed away #LooseWomen," another commented.

It comes after Janet previously divided viewers after saying that she had "no sympathy" for plus-size passengers.

The outspoken panelists discussed a recent viral social media post, in which a plus-sized blogger highlighted how travelling on planes can be tricky and the subsequent debate regarding if airline companies can do more to accommodate larger passengers.

She told her fellow panelists that while she accepts weight gain can be caused due to an addiction to eating, she doesn't have "an awful lot of sympathy" for those who are calling out for airlines to make "special provisions" for overweight passengers.

*Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV
