The Loose Women panel slammed HSBC's decision to close branches as damaging and "sinister."
The panel was, for once, in unanimous agreement as they said they enjoyed physically using a high street bank. The discussion stems from HSBC choosing to close over 100 of its branches in 2023 as society moves toward online banking.
The move also sparked a discussion point that people are no longer using cash which had led to numerous locations and public services no longer accepting physical payments.

Carol McGiffin acknowledged that people are now having to rely on cash points to retrieve money which she branded as "sinister." Discussing bank buildings no longer being used for basic services, she said: "You can't even get cash out. I think there is something quite sinister behind it."
Charlene White said she doesn't feel safe using a cash point to retrieve money, especially for larger sums. She added: "But what I do like doing if there's a problem with my account, I can guarantee it will be sorted and you're not sitting on hold for hours."
The panel said it damages people, especially the homeless to move away from a cashless society, which they feel is what banks are doing. Charlene mentioned that there is an entire generation who are experienced with services running entirely online but was reprimanded by Denise Welch.
Denise said: "It's become pretty pointless. I went in the other day to do something for my son and all they do is try and get you online. I don't want to go online I want to actually talk to a person on this bank who can instruct me on what to do. There are older people who are incredibly and poorly ill over the stress of having to do everything online and not being able to communicate."
HSBC announced it would close 113 of its branches in the new year as more people are choosing to do their banking online instead of in person.
The Liverpool Echo has contacted HSBC for a comment.
