If you’re looking to change jobs just now, there’s plenty of positions to be filled in the Lanarkshire, from catering and hospitality or from offices and factories.
Here’s a selection of some of the current vacancies that companies are recruiting for:
- GIST are looking to hire a Warehouse Operative for their depot in Cumbernauld. Pay is £10 to £12 an hour plus an unsociable hours premium. Working Hours are 7pm to 3:30am. Full Time Shifts: five-week rota (including weekends).
Duties include picking orders and loading and unloading cages, primarily in a chilled environment. They also offer further training opportunities for employees. Ideally you will have your own vehicle due to working hours on nights.
- Wesser Ltd in Airdrie are recruiting a charity fundraiser for Dogs Trust, and full training will be provided. The starting salary is £17,160 for a 30-hour week which will rise with length of service. There are regular team incentives and events.
A team company car is available, and there are various development and promotion opportunities.
- Pharmacy company Elixir , which has branches across the country, has a number of temporary positions available in Motherwell.
Successful candidates will help provide vital healthcare to the local community. This is the ideal position for someone with previous retail or pharmacy experience. The successful candidate should be someone who enjoys working to deadlines and as part of a team.
- Tesco in Airdrie are looking to fill a Customer Assistant - Express position. Applicants must be aged 18 or over.
The role involves serving customers on checkouts ensuring they receive an easy, seamless personalised experience. The company offer a competitive wage as well as a host of company benefits.
- Tesco in Carluke also currently have a Customer Assistant vacancy.
- The Mint restaurant in Coatbridge is hiring experienced Waiting Staff. Hours of work average 35 to 40 per week, five days over seven, shift patterns include day into evening and also weekends so applicants must be able to work unsociable hours.
The pay rate is up to £9.50 an hour. Applicants must have the minimum of a year’s restaurant experience.
- Direct Line in Airdrie are recruiting for Customer Service roles. Salary is £22,672 to £26,872per annum. The jobs are full time and permanent.
- Lidl in Motherwell are looking to hire Customer Assistants. The pay is £10.10 to £11.40 per hour and it’s a 30-hour week.
Duties include unpacking stock as deliveries arrive in-store and providing excellent customer service on the tills.
- Angus Dundee Distillers PLC is currently recruiting for Bottling Operators (Production Operators) to join its Coatbridge facility on a permanent basis.
They offer a competitive salary and benefits package. Hours of work are between 7.45am and 4.45pm, Monday to Friday (working out-with these hours may be needed where required).
- Clyde Windows and Construction in Larkhall are hiring an Office Production Assistant. The salary is £18,602 to £26,613 a year, and it’s a full-time, permanent position.
Duties will include processing orders, liaising with factory workers and window installers, and dealing with trade clients. A minimum of one year experience in an office or factory environment is required and/or excellent CV or school exam results.
- And Avondale Veterinary Group in Strathaven have an Equine Receptionist vacancy. Responsible for maintaining excellent customer service to equine clients, primarily over the phone.
Reception duties and office duties will be required. These include scheduling and managing appointments, answering emails and dealing with the post, safe handling of dispensed medications, dealing with invoicing, payments and debt control.
Hours of work will be 27.5 per week, 8.30am to 2pm Monday to Friday, with occasional holiday cover required.
