Look: Twins’ Byron Buxton Suffers Scary Football-Style Collision While Running Bases

Byron Buxton Twins Kyle Farmer Lenyn Sosa Minnesota White Sox MLB

The Minnesota Twins‘ 3-1 victory over the Chicago White Sox may have come at a costly price after two key starters went down with injuries.

With the Twins up 1-0 in the seventh inning, star outfielder Byron Buxton collided with White Sox infielder Lenyn Sosa as he attempted to reach second base on a slow infield grounder hit by Nick Gordon.

Sosa, trying to field the ball, ran directly into the path of Buxton. The violent collision sent Buxton flipping up and over Sosa—resulting with Buxton landing on his head.
