Florida International University’s football program unveiled some incredible new uniforms they’ll wear for a select game during the 2023 NCAA season.
The Golden Panthers’ official Twitter account released a hype video Wednesday night in which they teased the new-look “Miami Vice” uniforms, and they are stunning.
In line with the popular “Miami Vice” theme, the uniforms feature a black base with pink lettering and some light blue detail. The area code “305” is written in hot pink on the black helmets, with a blue panther head replacing the “0.” The jersey’s shoulder pads also feature three pink palm trees.
FIU also informed fans when the team would be wearing the jerseys: during the team’s nationally televised game against UTEP on Oct. 11. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2.
For the 305. Welcome to #ViceU

The Golden Panthers will be saving their look for a special occasion, as the clash against UTEP is their lone game on national television this season.
Last season’s clash against the Miners resulted in a brutal 40-6 defeat for FIU, so the school will look to exact revenge on UTEP in the flashy new uniforms during October’s rematch.
FIU finished the 2022 campaign with a 4-8 record, a mark the Golden Panthers will look to improve on during Mike MacIntyre’s second season as head coach.
