Traditionally speaking, sitting in the front row at Yankee Stadium is some of the most prime real estate a sports fan can have. During Tuesday night’s game against the Orioles, though, lucky fans sitting on the railing were spectators to a bit of rodent mayhem when a squirrel decided to crash the party.
Animals invading baseball fields is nothing new, though the brief spurt of chaos is always a treat to witness. What makes this latest bit of wildlife hijinks fun is the classic reactions that New York’s furry friend inspired from the fans in closest proximity: Looks of shock, fear, confusion and wonderment can all be seen by the patrons who were paid a visit from a very brave and rambunctious squirrel.
