LOOK: Falcons locker room celebrates epic win over Eagles

The Atlanta Falcons couldn’t have won Monday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles without a complementary effort from their offense and defense. When quarterback Kirk Cousins and the offense came up short in the first half, the defense was there to bail them out.

With the team trailing by six points, the Falcons put together a magnificent touchdown drive to take the lead in the final seconds. Then, when Atlanta needed a stop, Jessie Bates and company answered the bell. It’s clear the Falcons were playing for each other in Week 2 and the result was a 22-21 road win over a heavily favored Eagles team.

Bates, Cousins and the rest of head coach Raheem Morris’ team rightfully celebrated after the game. Watch as Morris receives the game ball from a rowdy Falcons locker room on Monday night.

The Falcons had their share of issues, but the fact that they were able to leave Philadelphia with a victory could be a sign that the tides are turning in Atlanta. Make sure to check out our five takeaways, fan reactions and photo gallery from the team’s Week 2 comeback.
