The Washington Commanders picked up a massive road win Sunday with a 24-16 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. The win snapped Washington’s three-game losing streak.
Quarterback Sam Howell passed for three touchdown passes and did not turn the ball over in the win. However, Washington’s offense managed just 193 total yards, with only 58 coming in the second half. The Falcons doubled the Commanders’ yardage, but three interceptions and a huge punt return proved to be the difference in the game for Washington.
It was the Commanders’ third win over the Falcons in the last three seasons, and Washington players met up with their former quarterback, Taylor Heinicke, after Sunday’s win.
