Ahead of the release of the WandaVision spinoff on Disney+ we speak to Jac Schaeffer, creator of the show, for a 10-page feature, along with star Kathryn Hahn and fellow cast members Ali Ahn, Joe Locke, Patti LuPone, Aubrey Plaza and Sasheer Zamata.

Colin Farrell will be buried beneath prosthetics again soon, as we delve into the criminal underworld of Gotham for a new eight-episode limited series centred on Oz Cobb. We find out more from The Batman director Matt Reeves and TV showrunner Lauren LeFranc.

It’s taken 36 years, but Tim Burton’s goth favourite about Michael Keaton’s “bio-exorcist” has finally spawned a follow-up. We join hands and summon up writers Alfred Gough and Miles Millar.

Speak No Evil

Dutch horror Speak No Evil impressed us here at SFX Towers, with our reviewer calling it “harrowing”. The film has now received an English-language do-over, in which instead of Danes visiting a family they befriended on holiday in the Netherlands, it’s Americans taking a trip to Blighty. We find out how writer/director James Watkins approached his remake.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon

Season one of the zombie franchise spinoff show saw everyone’s favourite redneck crossbow enthusiast getting lost in France (enjoy that earworm). Season two brings his pal Carol Peletier into the fold – and no, romance will not be blossoming... We catch up with showrunner David Zabel.

Doctor Who

We also finally wrap up our epic chat with Russell T Davies about Ncuti Gatwa’s first season as the Doctor (hey, he’s a talkative fellow!). Plus, ahead of the latest Blu-ray classic series box set, we look back at Doctor Who’s 25th anniversary story “Silver Nemesis” in the company of writer Kevin Clarke, who proves to be a right old gossip.

And that’s not all, feature-wise: we also mark the 40th anniversary of The Tripods, quiz cyberpunk luminary Neal Stephenson about his latest novel, and get Mortal Engines writer Philip Reeve to answer our author questionnaire.

Red Alert

And the big features are just the tip of the iceberg! As ever, our news section, Red Alert, is crammed with insights into yet more movies, TV shows, comics and books. In the spotlight this month: Lego Star Wars special Rebuild The Galaxy; survivalist horror film Never Let Go; non-chronological thriller Strange Darling; a pair of new Space: 1999 and UFO novellas; haunted house attraction Halloween Horror Nights; plus the latest Star Wars, Star Trek, Conan and 2000 AD comics.
