Former NFL quarterback Chase Daniels believes the Chicago Bears should consider sticking with Justin Fields as the franchise’s quarterback, despite a plethora of quality signal-callers in April’s NFL draft.

Chicago (7-10) currently holds the No. 1 pick in this year’s upcoming draft with the option to select an elite quarterback such as USC’s Caleb Williams, North Carolina’s Drake Maye or LSU’s Jayden Daniels. Fields started in 13 of Chicago’s 17 games this year, including Sunday’s 17-9 loss to the Green Bay Packers, where Fields completed 11-of-16 passes for 148 yards. 

Despite Fields’s struggles, Daniels is convinced that Fields is Chicago’s “quarterback of the future” after the long-time backup completed a film breakdown of every game Fields played in during the 2023 NFL season.
