Londoner wins over £10m on the lottery — but hasn't come forward to claim prize

The hunt is on to find a National Lottery ticket holder who has won more than £10 million after hitting the jackpot over three months ago but hasn’t claimed the prize yet.

The lucky person has just become a multimillionaire without apparently realising, winning an amazing £10,600,000 in the National Lottery draw.

However, the mystery winner, who bought the ticket in Bexley, southeast London, has not claimed the top prize yet, and has until April 2 to do so or the money will be donated to National Lottery Projects.

They scored correctly on all six numbers in October 10’s draw, meaning they’ve won a life-changing amount of money.

The unsuspecting winner is not the only person to not immediately claim their hard-won cash.

Metro reported that a person in Birmingham won £1 million and needs to collect it by February 11.

Another person to win a million, this time in Bournemouth, won in November but has yet to pick up the money. Their deadline is May 3.

In December, a Welsh couple got extremely lucky when they won £1 million for a second time in a year.

Courier Richard Davies, 49, and mental health worker Faye Stevenson-Davies, 43, said “fairy tales do come true” after defying the odds of 24 trillion to one to win again.

Mr Davies added: “Everyone keeps asking what we’ll do in the future and we genuinely have no idea at present.

“The first time around we gifted people cars, we donated a minibus to the local rugby team, and did our best to help friends and family.

“It was all new and it was amazing to be able to make a difference.

“This time, who knows, we’ll take our time and enjoy the moment.”

John and Lucy Waring celebrate their near £4 million Lotto win ((The National Lottery/PA))

John Waring, 57, was able to retire early from his radio operator job in Devon and Cornwall’s police force after he won close to £4 million over the summer.

Mr Waring bought a Harley Davidson and planned to get a hot tub, alongside a new family home complete with a music room in the Paignton area.
