The London Metro Memory game has attracted no shortage of excitement since its release, with users quickly becoming addicted to seeing how many stations they can remember.
In order to complete the game, players must name all stations on all lines on the London Underground map, an almost impossible task – for some. It seems rather self-explanatory as to how it can become quite an addictive headscratcher. Um, which station is next to Bounds Green again?
The sheer difficulty of the game means many people are thrilled to walk away with 45 per cent. Of course, if patience runs thin, there is always the option of cheating by accessing the London Underground map, but that would cease any concept of the challenge being just that - a challenge.
Benjamin Tran Dinh, a savvy software engineer and web developer, created the game which he promoted a few days ago on X, previously known as Twitter.

Since releasing the game, Londoners have been utterly absorbed by the challenge, which commuters and those just able to vaguely remember each of their tube trips, have remarked as being "excellent fun".
One X user said: "This is absolutely wonderful! Any chance of an entire UK rail network game or is that far too much of a stress??"
Mr. Tran Dinh, who has created a whole host of metro and transport games in different countries, has announced that Berlin is next and then most likely New York or Vienna after that.
He told the Standard: "It started from a game by Chris Arvin, "name SF streets". I lived in San Francisco for a bit, but I scored poorly.
"As a software engineer specialized in maps, I wanted to recreate one for the city I know best: Paris. The problem with Paris streets is that there are many, many small streets with especially long names. I figured playing with metro station names would be more fun. I released the Paris version a few weeks ago and it was well received!
"Having lived in London for a few months as well, I figured it would make for a great sequel - memorable station names and consequent network. I'm impressed that it was received this way!"This reaction motivated me to replicate the game for other famous networks. Berlin is coming soon, then probably New York."
