The Northern has been hit with severe delays over morning rush hour due to a faulty train at Stockwell.

The problems on the Tube come after the Overground’s Windrush line was part suspended.

A tree on the track caused an early-morning suspension, while a fire alert also led to disruption on the line between West Croydon and Sydenham.
